In the simplest form, the wire frame model, only the main edges of the structure are represented. More information is gained from using the wire mesh model, which also allows good vectoring of surfaces of any form. As soon as the structures can be described in terms of simple solids (cylinder, cone) the volume model becomes suitable. Its main field of utilization is the modelling of industrial plants.
